A Central Park Setting with Meaning
Located on the west side of Central Park near West 72nd Street, Strawberry Fields is one of the city’s most recognizable places of reflection. At its heart is the black-and-white Imagine mosaic, where visitors often leave flowers, candles and handwritten notes in tribute to John Lennon’s message of peace and unity.
Strawberry Fields is also a popular wedding destination for couples who elope to New York and want an intimate ceremony in a location recognized around the world.
A short walk away, the Ladies Pavilion offers a different—but beautifully complementary—ceremony setting. Originally built in 1871 as a Victorian shelter for carriage passengers, it was later relocated and restored, preserving its intricate cast-iron design and historic character.
Today, the pavilion is a favorite for intimate wedding ceremonies and vow renewals. Its open structure allows natural light to filter through, offers limited shelter, and frames views of The Lake, surrounding trees and nearby pathways.
