Tucked into the mid-park landscape near 60th Street and Seventh Avenue, Cop Cot offers one of Central Park’s most distinctive settings for a wedding ceremony. Unlike the park’s open bridges, lawns and formal terraces, Cop Cot provides a covered wooden structure that can feel secluded and personal even though it remains part of a public park.
Its timber beams, shingled roof and surrounding greenery create an unmistakably rustic atmosphere. The structure itself provides a natural focal point, so couples can create a meaningful ceremony without elaborate décor. It is particularly appealing to couples who want a relaxed, nature-focused ceremony that still feels visually defined.
Cop Cot’s open sides allow light and greenery into the ceremony space while the roof offers partial coverage from direct sun or a light shower. It is not an enclosed venue, however, so couples should still prepare for changing weather and normal public activity in the park.
